seems that hp1522nf MFP is not workable in 11.10 why ?

What is this I can't SCAN or Print WHY ? It worked in 11.04 . . and just because I up graded I can no longer use my printer What gives ? Printer is now saying canceling print with light flashing . .
What is the work around ?

The problem is because of missing plugin. Please download the latest hplip from www.hplip.net and install it. Please install the missing plugin in command line : su -c 'hp-plugin'. Hope this would solve the problem.

Are you sure it will work ? Takes DAYS to undo all of the things I have and RE LOAD 11.04 to have a working printer scanner and copier . . Oh yeah ny the way in CUPS 1.6 they left out a gob of Printers the list jumps from HP 1300 to HP 2000 . . And of course my printer is in the gob left out of the list found it out when I made a search of the printers for my printer
