Bug Description

Keys mapped by hotkeys-setup to KEY_MEDIA produce 0xed in X. This key seems most likely for starting the music player, but it is mapped to 0x76 (no idea what key that is).

Please set the default to 0xed

I verfied that the package installs correctly. I do not have a multimedia key so I can not test it directly, but dholbach and seb128 both verified that rythmbox comes up with the new package. Marking it verification done, it can go into feisty-updates on 27.04

This update changed four packages and forced me to download 1.3MB, all to change one keycode. Is there not a more efficient way?

there is some plans to download only the differences but that's not easy to implement and that not has been done yet

I'm testing Gutsy Tribe 1 in a Dell Inspiron 9400.
Media player is set to "Disabled" instead of "0xed".

Which version?
I made a new fresh gutsy tribe 1 install, installed all updates, and still have "media player" set to "disabled".
gnome-control-center version is 1:2.19.1-0ubuntu1.

this bug is about 0x76 or 0xed as keycode value, your problem seems to be a different one, could you open a new bug rather than commenting on a closed one?
