Bug Description

After my upgrade to linux-image-2.6.8.1-3-powerpc_2.6.8.1-19_powerpc.deb I was
not able to boot the system anymore.

The problem was that the /boot/initrd.img link was removed during the upgrade:

Preparing to replace linux-image-2.6.8.1-3-powerpc 2.6.8.1-17 (using
linux-image-2.6.8.1-3-powerpc_2.6.8.1-19_powerpc.deb) ...
The directory /lib/modules/2.6.8.1-3-powerpc still exists. Continuing as directed.
Unpacking replacement linux-image-2.6.8.1-3-powerpc ...
The link /boot/initrd.img is a dangling link
Removing symbolic link /boot/initrd.img
you may need to re-run yaboot
Setting up linux-image-2.6.8.1-3-powerpc (2.6.8.1-19) ...
Not touching initrd symlinks since we are being reinstalled (2.6.8.1-17)
Not updating image symbolic links since we are being updated (2.6.8.1-17)

carlos@frodo /var/cache/apt/archives $ ls -l /boot/

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1281970 2004-11-27 02:39 vmlinux.coff-2.6.8.1-3-powerpc

I was able to reproduce it again downgrading my kernel and installing this
version again.

I'm using the yaboot's standard configuration so I think all people that
upgrades to that kernel will not able to boot their system without manual fix,
that's why I'm selecting the 'blocker' severity.
