Hi,

While doing some bug cleanup, I found this old bug.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) reached end-of-life on May 9 2013, so I'm afraid this bug can't be fixed. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner, but it appears to be no further action possible at this time.

For what it's worth, looking at the dist-upgrade screen log, I found the following error:

/usr/bin/perl: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/perl5/auto/Cwd/Cwd.so: undefined symbol: Perl_xs_apiversion_bootcheck

I couldn't reproduce the error in our latest stable release (Jammy at the time of writting).

This error was also reported in bug 1102567 (and in other different packages), so I'm marking this as a duplicate of it.
