swap not mounted after upgrade to 12.10

Bug Description

After upgrading to 12.10 I find that my swap partition is no longer mounted automatically.

It turns out that this is due to a change in the UUID.

How did you upgrade from 12.04 to 12.10? Did you use a bootable Ubuntu CD or something else?

Wow. It's been so long that I don't remember.
I usually do it the standard way through the update manager.
