Bug Description
Using up-to-date Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS, no binary drivers, the external HDMI display (HD TV) is detected and shown as connected in xrandr and the DIsplay Settings utility, yet there is no signal and the screen remains black.

I've tried the binary drivers too, there seems to be an EDID reporting problem leading to possible manual configuration / modeline creation / xorg.conf editing, etc.
I am reporting this bug on a vanilla, no-binary Nvidia drivers install for tracking purposes and so other people interested in this system know it doesn't work with HDMI if using just the Nouveau driver.

Un-marked the duplicatel, however, this equipment is now running OpenElec - http:// openelec. tv/, as such I won't be able to test this again.
