Bug Description

The idea here is to extend the concept of flavours so that you could say:

I need an instance that is on a host with the following hardware (cpu/mem perf/graphics card/etc).

So if you are doing intensive work you don't waist time having to test for the underlying hardware.

I have written this as a blueprint, that I'm intending to submit soon. The blueprint also contains a solution.

I wonder if this use case can be already served with nova scheduler hints [1]

Pavlo, not sure it's the same use case. The nova scheduler makes decisions on instance placement. What if there's no flavor that can answer the application's constraints?
From the scheduler page: "If it turns up, that it can’t find candidates for the next instance, it means that there are no more appropriate hosts where the instance could be scheduled."
