It seems the "libberylsettings" package is missing.

Can you please link to the HOWTO explicitly? I assume you've used the official packages from Ubuntu Feisty?!

Hmm.. according to Dependencies.txt libberylsettings0 0.2.1.dfsg+git20070318-0ubuntu2 is installed.

But beryl-settings-bindings seems to be missing..

It's not missing. It's Beryl meta-package you're missing.

Beryl is replaced by Compiz Fusion, so has been removed from Gutsy.
