Bug Description

If I use the indicator icon's menu to "Show Main Window", the window is shown, but it only gets focus at first time.

After the first time the current (other) application keeps the focus, and you have to explicitly click GoldenDict's window to activate it.

This has been fixed in the upstream version of GoldenDict already.

Dmitry, you could try to build GoldenDict from the upstream sources, it is as easy as invoking a couple of commands:
https://github.com/goldendict/goldendict#installing-external-deps-on-ubuntu-linux

The bug has been fixed some time this year, so it is not present in the quite outdated version 1.0.2~git20120929-3.

Thank you Tvangeste. I successfully built GoldenDict from the GitHub repo (1.5.0-RC-74-ge79efbd), the bug seems to be fixed now. I only replaced the goldendict binary which was built (no "make install"), and everything was working smoothly.

By the way, the UI is much better and cleaner now, and a lot of other small things improved (eg. main window activation by a global hotkey works now).

Changed in goldendict (Ubuntu):
