Bug Description

libGL error: failed to load driver: nouveau
libGL error: Try again with LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose for more details.
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
libGL error: Try again with LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose for more details.
The program 'singularity-do-not-run-directly' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 30 error_code 11 request_code 154 minor_code 3)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
*** Bad shutdown. ***

No problem in ubuntu 12.04

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1071127/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

I think (im not sure) this bug is aplication specific, not ubuntu's, (please someone correct me if Im wrong)
Althoug, is the new driver nouveau who is making all the mess here.

I tried running the binary with the "LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose" flag (as suggested by the log itself) and it seems to be looking for the DRI.so at the lib64, lib32 an lib directory, but after searching for the file, it is in another place (dont ask me why is it there, not really an expert on this)

Quick fix: copy (or better link) the folder "/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri" (as I remember singularity (secondlife) is 32b) to "/usr/lib/dri"

SecondLife will find it and RUN!
(It will explain that you are using an experimental driver, but works fine)

hope it helps

If not, simply search for the "dri" folder under the "/usr" path and link it to "/usr/lib/dri" as some versions may vary the name of the containing folder in the future
