Kubuntu is a KDE distro, so it makes sense that the users who install Firefox want it to be compatible with KDE. With this version of Firefox is possible and it would be easy for new users (and users that doesn't know this PPA) to have it. For using it in KDE is far better than the standard Firefox version in the Ubuntu repositories.
