Bug Description

When I edit a file(file.txt) with Scratch it creates a backup file (~file.txt), but when I close Scratch, that backup needs to be deleted.
I have my folders with annoying backups that I don't use.

I agree with you. Yesterday I had to delete manually a backup file.

I think this is normal linux behaviour. It should create one backup file and keep it until you change something in the file when the backup will beupdated.
