Precise abiword needs to be upgraded to Quantal version prior to 12.04.2

This is somewhat of a follow up on bug 1019621 but also several others. I've compiled quite a bit of info here:

You can also see at that forum thread that I've tried the Quantal version of abiword in both Xubuntu and Ubuntu Precise successfully.

What else do we need to fix abiword in Precise?

I'd rather think that we could do an SRU on this, probably by introducing the updates into proposed first.

I really need some dev help with this :^)

However, the changes you are requesting aren't really a bug and require more discussion, which should be done on an appropriate mailing list or forum. http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community/mailinglists might be a good start for determining which mailing list to use.
