Bug Description

Hi,

Seems that ZooKeeper does not remove old snapshots and logs by default[1]. Would it be possible to periodically run /usr/share/zookeeper/bin/zkPurgeTxnLog.sh and also rotate the juju logs to help prevent the ZooKeeper instance from running out of disk space?

Regards,

Haw

Does juju use the stock ubuntu packages for zookeeper?

If so a daily crontab should be installed which purges the tx log - sounds like this might be sufficient.

Just to qualify that - the zookeeper package should be installing the crontab :-)

Correct, the ubuntu package does install the cron job and sets it up to run daily.

the move to zk 3.4 will resolve this as zk takes care of its own logs then.
