Bug Description

This bug depends on #574397

On a brand new ubunto 12.10 installation, when switching to nvidia driver it looks like as it succeeded. But after reboot, the desktop doesn't fill the screen. It turned out, that the nvidia driver is installed - but not the kernel module - see attached log.

Please make the driver-switching fail, when such problems appear. (Better of couse, that such problem woun't appear - but that's not in your hand)

Workaround here: install "linux-headers-generic" and "nvidia-current" manually.
