Bug Description
On 64-bit 12.10 (quantal) with unity-lens-photos 0.8-0ubuntu1.
With over 21000 photos in my collection the search results from Shotwell consistently take ten or twelve seconds to appear, which is longer than many users will wait before thinking it's not working. Needs to be faster if it's to be used regularly.

Related branch is a first round of reorganising the search code to be faster. Search times are now reduced to about three seconds on the same collection.
