timidity crashes with either abort or segfault

Bug Description
This has been happening since 12.04. I used to use timidity to play all of my MIDI files, but now it does not work period. Nothing has changed. It worked on this system before. Now it doesn't.

Do you have a backtrace, either created yourself with gdb or automatically submitted via apport? (apport bugs are private by default, so you may have to make the bug public so I can see it.)
I believe there are instructions on grabbing a backtrace with gdb on the Ubuntu wiki, if you're unfamiliar with how to do this.
