Gimp crashes after saving file

Gimp 2.6.12 on ubuntu 12.04.1 AMD64

Open jpg image.
Save as, same directory, change name.

Gimp freeze some second and crashes.
Image seems saved correctly.

Hello,

  Can you please add a stacktrace to your report?

  To do this, launch GIMP from the command line, with the flag --stack-trace-mode=yes. Now when GIMP crashes, you'll see a question in the terminal asking you if you want to print a stack trace. Print it and attach it to your bug report.

Note: --stack-trace-mode=yes not recognized. I used =query. hope the same.

More note: if I overwrite the same file (even using save as option) gimp do not crashes.

I just noticed that starting gimp in a terminal with the switch "--stack-trace-mode=always" prevents the crash. "save as" saves and gimp stays on. So the command I use is: "gimp --stack-trace-mode=always &". This may or may not always work. I just made the observation. On other machines, set up differently, it may not even work at all. It's still worth a try, I guess. -- Frederic.
