crash or data loss when saving

Problem 1:
- Start gscan2pdf
- Open the file attached to this bug report
- try to save it as PDF
Result: gscan2pdf eats up several gigabytes of swap and RAM and then is killed by the kernel - which is bad, since the file was part of a session saved by gscan2pdf

Problem 2:
- Start gscan2pdf
- Open the file attached to this bug report
- add other images
- save the result as session
- open the session
Result: gscan2pdf won't be able to open all files of the session even if when the file the session is in is renamed to "something.tgz" and opened using e.G. file-roller all images are there.

Unfortunately I am able to reproduce this bug with loads of images and using both gscan2pdf 1.0.4 and 1.0.6.

Did only try to reproduce the bug on a 64-bit-system.

There was a problem with saving session files in 1.0.6, which I have fixed in the upcoming release. However, I can't reproduce your first problem.

Please start gscan2pdf from a terminal with the --log=log option, reproduce the problem, and then post the log file.
