Bug Description

It worked fine before upgrading to 12.10

The sound stops after a while (but never during playback. If, for instance, I start to see a video the sound always works until the video ends). It stops for no apparent reason, I can't see a pattern to reproduce the problem.

the minimum period bytes of snd-hda-intel is 128

the minimum period time at 48000Hz for 2 channels 16 bits is about 0.66 ms , it is unlikely for pulse plugin to support latency 0.5 ms
