Bug Description

I attached a new kezboard via usb and it is german lazout like the previous.
Unfortunatelz, the kezs are arranged english, although the kde-language selector is on "de" and evdev identified a "de" xkb/lazout (according to xorg.0.log).

What to do now?

What happens when you switch the keyboard layout selector to en-us?

Fascinating..

After installing en-us i switched to it and back to de. Now öäü are working correctly.
It is even boot-resistant, so it seems to me, that the de layout needs en-us to be installed 8-|

How did you install en-us? Or rather... how did you uninstall it?

Well, how did you install it again? e.g. what package did you install?

i am so awfully sorry. I can't remember, where i really got it. I scanned the locales-settings again and again, but can't reconstruct the way i followed. What i am sure is, that i didn't install or update anything..
