Bug Description

Using 0.1+bzr1243+dfsg-0ubuntu2, enlistment fails with the error:

maas-enlist: unrecognized option '--power-params'
maas-enlist: unrecognized option '--power-type'

and then a usage message.

It looks like /usr/share/maas/preseeds/enlist_userdata unconditionally expects maas-enlist to support power options, when this support isn't in Precise yet. In my case, maas-enlist 0.4-0ubuntu1.1 was used.

It looks like this will go away when the Precise SRU in bug 1063946 is accepted. But this is critical since it seems to break the maas package functioning with defaults.

Ubuntu fix attached. This cherry-picks the MP I've submitted upstream. Build tested and verified that this fixes the issue for me.

  * 04-fix-ipmi-enlistment.patch: retry maas-enlist without power parameters
    on failure. This allows enlistment to continue working with Precise
    ephemeral images before the Precise SRU for maas-enlist lands.
