Bug Description
Got that error while upgrading on QQ i386:
Setting up spamassassin (3.3.2-4ubuntu2) ...
(spawn.c:129): error setting uid to 0
SpamAssassin Mail Filter Daemon: disabled, see /etc/default/
Setting up spamc (3.3.2-4ubuntu2) ...
but there is nothing about mail filter daemon into /etc/default/
- # Change to one to enable spamd
ENABLED=0
- OPTIONS=
- PIDFILE=
- CRON=0
Its the genuine config, but will now set CRON=1

Thanks for reporting this bug. I can't reproduce it with default settings.
Can you show the results of 'sudo service spamassassin stop; sudo service spamassassin start' ?
Can you attach the file /var/log/ apt/term. log?
