Bug Description
Hello,
I have an IBM ThinkPad T42 w/built in Conexant HSF modem. When I install
Ubuntu, the
driver snd-intel8x0m is installed for this. While this driver loads for my
modem (mine utilizes the Intel ICH4 chip),
it doesn't do anything useful as no drivers which utilize this interface work
with my modem.
The only driver which works, the HSF drivers from Linuxant, require this NOT to
be loaded (they use their own interface for this chip).
Because of this, I suggest:
1) add snd-intel8x0m to blacklist of modules
2) Possibly change this when drivers which use this are installed - as modems
with SmartLink modems
can utilize this interface.
