Bug Description

I have no sound in flash player with Ubuntu. When I open firefox (or chromium) with a page that needs the flash player, the video starts but pavucontrol doesn't show any stream. So I think flash doesn't use pulseaudio as output device. I tried to fix this by installing the firefox add-ons that manage flashplayers installs and by following the flash player tutorial in the Ubuntu wiki without luck*. I have sound for everything else.

lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS
Release: 12.04

alsa-base 1.0.25+dfsg-0u
flashplugin-in 11.2.202.238ub
pulseaudio 1:1.1-0ubuntu1

* very annoing the tutorial https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PulseAudio#Setting_PulseAudio_as_the_default_sound_card that addresses this bug (Setting PulseAudio as the default sound card) by recommending to use asound-gtk, now asoundconf-gtk, that is broken because asoundconf is no longer in Ubuntu. So the tutorial is broken, but I really would like to know why asoundconf-gtk is still in Ubuntu if asoundconf is not in Ubuntu considering that the first one uses the second one.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1064254/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

Sorry, next time I will use ubuntu-bug.
I have a problem with apport-collect because I don't have flashplugin-nonfree installed and this bug is refering to it. I can't find flashplugin-nonfree but instead I have flashplugin-installer. I tried to set this package as the affected package but bus.launchpad rejects binary packages. What should I do?
