Bug Description

The grid plugin is working with Gedit and nautilus only using shortcuts. Trying to drag the top bar against the edges doesn't work.

I had the same problem on an installation of Ubuntu 12.10 and on a 12.10 Live version downloaded today (8 October 2012).

Is this behavior only with gedit or is it with other programs. Try to test with many different programs to see if it is only gedit.

Actually, this appears to be a bug in compiz snapping GTK3 programs. Confirming due to multiple similar reports.

I can confirm the bug reporter's bug description and it seems to happen just with gedit.

Quantal, Compiz r3433 here.

I have seen that the title and the description have been changed and now they includ Nautilus, but I didn't have any problem with Nautilus. On my installation it works fine with the grid plugin.

I got this kind of problem only with Gedit. Talking about other programs I can only say that some applications (like System settings and Calculator) don't work at all with grid plugin. But I presume this is due to a particular setup, not really a bug. With these applications it's even not possible to resize the window.. to me it looks more like a feature.. well, I think so.

In the meantime I have reported a new bug for the "gedit grid corner" problem: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/1067812

Thanks!
