Upgrade to 2.6 in Raring

Version 2.6 just got released: http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/latexila/2.6/

Can it still be upgraded for Quantal? Build is on a PPA here https://launchpad.net/~latexila/+archive/ppa

But it's nice to have it in Universe if possible...

Hello and thank you for this bug report,

Unfortunately, it's too late to upload this new version on Ubuntu Quantal. Big changes of this 2.6 version was still not added before the Feature Freeze of Ubuntu Quantal¹ and this is why we still have the 2.4 version in Ubuntu 12.10 repos.
But as you said, feel free to use this ppa ;)

Fair enough, I will use the PPA, but I'm a bit confused, I thought feature freeze didn't apply to unseeded packages in Universe until the release date..

No it concerns all packages in the archive (ie main, restricted, universe and multiverse) excepts a few packages like Firefox, Thunderbird or programs in 'parter' or 'extras' ;)

It's just to have enough time to test most packages and to fix bugs if it's possible.

Terrible timing for the upgrade, as upstream just released a further bugfixing point release (2.6.2). Can we have that?
