Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

I followed the directions on this page: http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Dapper_Installation_Guide and restarted my computer, but when it booted, it wouldn't start and got stuck in text mode. I tried typing sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-ati, but it said the file didn't exist! Please help, I am a total linux newbie, and know next to nothing about it.

If you are inexperienced, maybe you should only use the official documentation found at http://help.ubuntu.com

You should have the open-source driver installed even if you followed the instructions on that page. Besides, there are instructions on that page how to revert the change.
