Bug Description

Got that issue several times always in the same conditions, running QQ i386 logged as gnome-classic (without effect):

- start calc with an .ods file
- select a block to apply a "sort" request

this works well, except if these both processes start at the same time:
- hit "ok" sorting button
- auto-save start

in that case, the "sorting window" freeze (cant close it or else) and the libreoffice-calc menu is also frozen. So a killing process need to be done.

dino99, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.

When Calc freezes, if you leave it be for a long time, does it ultimately crash?

hi Christopher,

what are you talking about ? i've described when, and only when, that freeze happen. I've never talk about crash, by the way i've always killed the frozen status instead of waiting " a long time".

What I talked about was pretty clear.

Everyone knew this already.

That's why I asked you in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1062786/comments/2 if you wait a while (hours, over night, etc.) does it ultimately crash. Does it?

If you are telling me that you need a crash, and probably wait a long time to try getting one; well as that issue appears randomly when the conditions are met, it might take a while sadly. But if its happens again, i will open an other session to continue working, and let that one grabbing a possible crash. Wait & see.
