Bug Description

Qtpfsgui is a graphical user interface that enables users to work on hdr images.
Supported operations include:
- creations of a HDR file from a set of images of a scene taken at different exposure settings
- tonemapping an HDR image into a common LDR image format (e.g jpeg or png)
- loading, saving and rotating existing HDR images

My repo is the official repo for qtpfsgui, so I will work for a package for Gutsy in officials repo.

Thanks, Bye.

I rejected this bug, because I want to wait to Qtpfsgui having a stable version, before proposing it to universe.

I have packaged the new version of qtpfsgui (1.8.11). I have posted this package to REVU (http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?upid=6320).

Which received the following response:
"There is a bug on launchpad concerning the packaging of qtpfsgui (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/106239). As this bug is assigned to someone else (cyril lavier), please contact the assignee before uploading to REVU.
Thanks for your work"

Thus, I am here to inform you of my intentions of upload, please if you have any questions or comments let me know. In addition if you have any objections to me packaging and uploading qtpfsgui, please let me know.

Version: 1.8.11
Release: fesity

I'd prefer to keep working on this package, for 3 reasons :
1st : You didn't asked me before making your first upload
2nd : the version which is in REVU is slightly different from the Dépomaniak's one
3rd : I'm working actively in order to make a package well done since the 1.7.1 version, so for 5 months now, and I'm in close contacts with the developer, for correcting bugs, and making a suitable tarball for packaging.

Best Regards.

Not a problem, I completely understand your wishes.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of packaging qtpfsgui without first checking to see if there was a bug within Lanuchpad. I hope you do not take this as an insult to you or the work you have provided on packaging. I sincerely apologized for not first checking the system or speaking with you before the updated package was uploaded.

I have been using qtpfsgui for a while now, and would love to see it in the main Ubuntu repositories, and have been using the 'Dépomaniak' repository to obtain the application.

I understand your dedication to the project, and again sincerely apologize for the mistake on my part. I hope qtpfsgui will be added to the Ubuntu repository as this is a great HDR application, and one of the only valuable open source alternatives.

Of course if you would like any assistance in the packaging, or I can do anything else for you, please feel free to contact me.

Wishing you the best of luck,
Justin

The package received 2 advocate on REVU, and is now archived.

But I won't close this bug.

I will do it later, :).

Thanks
