Bug Description

I was trying a different video driver to see if it would eliminate the solid bar that I now have. When I did an update the screen shows a solid bar when I have Unity in the auto-hide mode. Unity is functional---the icons slide off the screen but the solid bar remains. The display does not adjust for the bar--a portion of the screen display remains behind the bar.

This only occurs after I log in. Before I enter my password the bar remains hidden.

Hogisan: could you open up a separate bug report for the solid bar issue you're having and try to post a screenshot?
