Bug Description

Was playing a game with a friend online vs 2 comps. Recon occurred, recorded all logs, dumps from both players. We were playing with Ares 0.2. Second game did not result in recon, so it might just be a normal desync.

I dont think so:

As you see in this report, it occurs randomly at certain events(such as building being destroyed).
Tracking REs down are extremely hard.

As I said there, GS6 causes recons. Why? Because in GS6, the speed of the two computer is not even synced. Any thwart in the connection /losing of a single packet and due to GS6 the games have no time to resend their changes to each other. Bam, desync.

Noone can guarantee GS6 will run flawlessly Modder, because on GS6, one single conn issue causes the recon. Heck, in MO, when we play on GS6, random recons occur. Only on GS6, just because the above. Playing on GS5 and no recons.

It's not a matter of belief, it's more of how networking works.

Alright, from now on I will start playing with GS5.
Hopefully these few REs will disappear.

Just a thought, why dont ares forbid players to use GS6 online? We could enable that for unstable builds, see if it makes any difference.
