Bug Description

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but Lazarus 1.0 has been released a few months ago but there exist no packages in any of the official Ubuntu or Debian repositories yet.

"A few months" being one month and 6 days on the moment you wrote this ;)

Debian is currently in Freeze, so I expect that is the reason why the
maintainer in Debian didn't package it yet for Debian. As Lazarus in
Ubuntu is just following Debian and the packaging is quite involved, I
don't expect an Ubuntu packaging of 1.0 without the Debian packager
involved. After Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal release I will forward this bug to
Debian to ask the maintainer if he is willing to prepare a Lazarus
package for experimental so that Ubuntu can sync from there.

Thanks for reporting this issue.
