No/slow appearing global menu in Unity

Moving the mouse to the top of the screen, no menu appears. It seems after some time it is available.

Similar happens with libreoffice 3.6.2 rc2.
After quickly opening/closing/opening any Libreoffice application /writer/calc/impress ... the menuebar is visible (in 3.6.1 it was not, so situation gets better ;-) but it doens't work, also keyboard shortcut's don't ...

After closing an libreoffice application and waiting some time (approx. 10-20 secs.) menuebar is working again.

If I open an XLS email attachment, no Calc menu. If I open Calc first and then the attachment, I get a menu. The same is true of a TXT file if I choose "Open with Calc" without first opening Calc or opening the file from within Calc.
