Bug Description

The Generate Mipmaps option of the Window Previews plugin does produce superior output for the window preview itself. Unfortunately it also vomits copies of regions of the preview window at various sizes at random places on the screen. These can be within other windows, or on the desktop, and are difficult to get rid of once they appear. The regions that appear within other windows also appear within the preview windows themselves.

In Compiz 0.9.7.6, 0.9.7.8 and 0.9.8 on Precise, using any of the Nvidia drivers or the nouveau driver for a GTX 560 Ti.

I've seen similar bugs with mipmapping but thought we might have fixed it in later revisions of 0.9.8.*

Sorry, upgraded to 12.10, where the Window Preview plugin was removed entirely. I'm running compiz-experimental now, and it works fine.
