Since today's "apt-get dist-upgrade" and reboot, now the external monitor cannot have more than 1024x768. It should be 1920x1080 (or something like that).

I fixed this by booting the laptop without docking it, and dock only after being logged in. But this is still a regression, I'm sure it was working to boot while docked previously.
