with cedarview-drm active, switching console with CRTL+ALT+F1-6 leads to screen being out of sync

with the cedarview-drm driver active, switching consoles with CRTL+ALT+F1-6 leads to the screen turning black (signal out of sync). This can not be recovered, even switching back to the X console (F7) doesn't help. Only reboot helps.
