Bug Description

Global menu in LO documents sometimes disappears. Randomly when I open any document from Nautilus in Ubuntu 12.10 x64 global top menu for the open window is blank, the are no "File, Edit, View, etc.". I need to close document and reopen it for several times to make the global menu working.

I have the latest updates installed.

Seems that if I open libreoffice through dash globalmenu appears correctly, but if I open libreoffice by doubleclick on any file into nautilus or dash it comes without globalmenu

There is a workout. Minimize and then maximize window and the global menu appears.

@sprnza: In my case, opening LO through Dash makes no difference -- the global menu still does not appear.

@simplehuman: Thanks. Minimizing and then maximizing gets the menu to show up, though it is inconvenient.

Marked this bug as a dupe of #1064962, because there's more focus on that report, and seems to be the same issue.

Thanks Dmitry for your workaround, brilliant. I can live with minimising/maximising a window once to get the menu back :) However, unfortunate that this bug made it through, it's even present on the official 12.10 live media :(
