Bug Description
Software Updater asked me if I want to install 124 MB of "updated software". Since I am interested in knowing more about this proposition than merely the amout of data that will be transferred, I clicked "Details of updates". Instead of showing me details of the updates, Software Updater displayed a single generic heading and half of the name of one update.
Even worse, when I click on "Technical description" to view what I hope might finally contain details about the updates, the dysfunctionally tiny pane shrinks even more—it now shows *no* updates—and a new pane appears which tells me what version of something is currently installed.
This problem also affects the "Details" pane below the "Installing updates..." progress bar while updates are being downloaded.
Screenshots are attached.

You have a very small screen. The widget is resizable, so it should expand itself on load. As for vertical space - it is really not enough for comfort reading, which is a subject of #1078769
