Bug Description

Fresh install of ubuntu 12.10 bera 2 with all updates. Gwibber is totally unusable. scrolling is INCREDIBLY laggy, and cpu usage constantly spiked to 70-100%. This is on fairly standard hardware: 2.53GHz core i5 460m, intel ironlake graphics, 4gb ram. If this application can't perform even close to reasonably it needs to be fixed or ditched from the default install before 12.10 final.

It is not slow, it is unusable. Slow open the main window, I cannot scroll the window, I cannot see an image because the scroll change and the image is hidden again, if I click the messages and then the home, the messages are shown partially...

touchpad, elantech touchpad using the synaptics driver. scrolling in other apps works fine, its just gwibber that has incredibly laggy and pretty unusable scrolling.

Attatching a video, some extra lag due to the screen recording, but not far off from the poor behaviour I see in gwibber without it. It often completely stops responding to scroll events (doesn't matter if I'm using touchpad or keyboard either), and has quite high cpu usage when scrolling, its completely unusable. At the beginning fo the video I'm just trying to slowly scroll up and down, and as you can see it barely even responds, and sometimes completely freezes. The hardware on this laptop isn't that bad either (intel i5 2.53 ghz, 4gb ram, intel graphics)
