microphone not working properly

Microphone on my computer doesn't work properly on mixxx 1.11.beta. The voice that I hear is in "kind of" slow motion. No difference if I use internal mic or connect an external mic/device.

Try to change the latency and/or the the Samleratein Preferences > Sound Hardware , the recording is totally distorted.
Also check if you use the recommended Sound API, see http://mixxx.org/manual/latest/chapters/configuration.html#latency-sample-rate-and-audio-api

Changing the latency doesn't help. Sound API is ALSA, which is recomended. The recording is distorted because i probably exaggerated with gain, I think it has nothing to do with the actual "bug".

Just a note: when i reported this problem i was still on Ubuntu 12.4, now i'm on 12.10beta, but the problem is still the same.
