Was installing mysql using the following command
"sudo apt-get install mysql-server"
System configuration as under:
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz × 4
Memory: 3.8 GiB
OS type: 64 bit Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Hello Deepak! Can you please include /var/log/upstart/mysql.log , and any non-empty files shown with 'ls -l /var/log/mysql*' ?
