Bug Description
With an iogear GBU421 plugged into my SONY VGN-AR630E, a 12.04.1 install (custom, multi-boot) doesn't shut down right (hangs) and when booting with normal (non-recovery) boot hangs somewhere in bluetooth initialization. Recovery boot succeeds. But if you do a continue boot operation (or whatever the top option of the recovery menu is named), X starts but all the displayed characters are empty rectangles. X11 seems to start OK and does find fonts in /usr/share/
