Bug Description

Upgrading to 0.55+cvs20041119-1 in hoary moved the synaptic gnome menu item to
Applications -> System and changed the command to "gksu -u root
/usr/sbin/synaptic" - thus asking for a root password that doesn't exist on an
ubuntu system ;-)

Thanks for this bugreport. This package was automatically imported from debian
and so all ubuntu patches were lost. this will be fixed with the next upload.
