Bug Description
With a broken CD drive, somewhere in the first stages of the installer (couldn't
reproduce it, sorry), an error message had "$ITEM" (including quotes and dollar
sign) in it, literally. It is the stage where a, b, c, ..., liba, libb, ...
libz, m, n, ... z are displayed.
I'd grep for it myself, but apparently lack subversion skills. So far, my first
guess ("svn co svn://svn.
had available :)
The language used was Dutch (nl).

Thanks for your report. I've confirmed that this bug was present in the version
of main-menu in Warty, but it's been fixed by the Debian translator in the
current version in Hoary.
(If you're interested, the text of the English message is "An installation step
failed. You can try to run the failing item again from the menu, or skip it and
choose something else. The failing step is: ${ITEM}"; the Dutch translation was
missing the {} around ITEM, which caused it not to be expanded.)

You were close, but that gets you all tags and branches, which you don't want.
Add "trunk/" to the end of that URL.
