Bug Description

On revision 4184 [http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~openerp/openobject-server/6.1/revision/4184]

openerp-cron-worker got introduced into openerp-server.

When installing openerp-server through debian package this command can not be found on the system.

Steps to reproduce:

Install openerp-server from a debian package:
   dpkg -i openerp_6.1-latest-1_all.deb

Try to find openerp-cron-work on the system:

sudo find / -iname 'openerp-cron-worker'

Which show no results.

The spected behaviour should be the following:

1) Install openerp-cron-worker as a system command (as equal as openerp-server)

I'm not sure if this is an expected behaviour, but would be a NICE to HAVE.

2) Modify /etc/cron.d/ to automatically program openerp-cron-worker every minute

Hello, Pokoli,

Currently, I have checked your issue with latest trunk as well as with 7.0 , and also with 6.1 deb package. But its working fine with trunk as well with 7.0. And for 6.1 we cannot implement yet. So, Would you please try with latest code and correct me if i did wrong.

Thanks & waiting for your answer.

Why you cannot implement for 6.1? Which is the afected revision so we can manually backport to 6.1? I don't wonna test it with 7.0 nor trunk because they are not usable.

Hello Pokoli,

Sorry, but Twinkle is not clear enough for the explanation. And also set the wrong state of the bug, Its becoming invalid instead of the incomplete.

Let me try to explain you!

As per our bug management policy we have consider only on the trunk bug as well as the blocking point of the last released version. You can see here http://doc.openerp.com/v6.0/contribute/11_bug_tracker.html#bug-management-policy which is more clear you.

My friend, For your kind of information version7 is released on January months and its stable LTS version, you can use it without any problem. So you can't say that its unusable.

Come to the bug point, Problem is only faced on the 6.1 version. Also the same thing working fine with the trunk as well as 7.0(last version issue). Also this is not a blocking point.

For this type of issue, you have to purchase our support and maintenance contract. Then you can contact our OPW team at <email address hidden>. They will definitely helps (Follow the OpenSource business policy).

I hope now you can understand :)

Now I am setting this as appropriate status.

Thank you!
