Bug Description

The translation used by the installer is very informal. The best example of this
I can give is "tikken", a verb that can be used instead of "typen". "to type"
should be translated as "typen", not as "tikken", which means "to tick".

"tikken" is informal, and refers to the mechanical sound of a typewriter.

When time and health allow me, I'll go over the entire language file for
debian-installer. For now, I'm reporting this bug mostly to get all forms of
"tikken" out.

Because the conjugations of "typen" aren't clear to everyone (the stem is "typ",
not "type"), a simple reference:

I type == Ik typ
You type == Jij typt
He types == Hij typt
We type == Wij typen
You type == Jullie typen
They type == Zij typen
----------------------------
Have typed == Hebben getypt
I typed == Ik typte
We typed == Wij typten
typo == typfout

In dutch "getyped", "typede", "typed" are all wrong.

For widespread and generally-applicable changes like this, it would be easier
for both you and me if you could push these changes to the Dutch translator of
debian-installer upstream. I believe that <email address hidden> is
a good contact address.

The only place I can find this translation is:

  "Als uw WEP-sleutel voldoet aan het formaat 'nnnn-nnnn-nn' of 'nnnnnnnn' (met
n een cijfer) kunt u het gewoon intikken in dit veld."

Is that correct?

debian-installer: 'tikken' -> 'invoeren'

This was in netcfg 1.08, and we had netcfg 1.08ubuntu8 in Ubuntu 5.04, so this
has been fixed for a while now.
