Hi DEV,
yes the GRUB2 installation is horrible buggy.
There was a grub update yesterday as far as I have seen (latest sync from Debian fixed - arround 20 bugs closed), so there is a good chance that you have success with the installation when you use the latest daily build from here:
http:// cdimage. ubuntu. com/daily- live/current/
When the grub2 issue is gone, please set the status of the report to fixed released. When the problem is still there we need some logs here to trigger the issue. UbiquitySyslog for example.
