Bug Description

I used the latest Raspbian OS image (dated 2012-08-16). After starting the X session. If I move the mouse around, the mouse freezes for a split second (quick jerks) every 2-3 seconds. It's as if something is polling the system every 2-3 seconds, causing the UI to freeze while it polls.

The Debian 6 "wheezy" OS image (dated 2012-06-17) I got pre-installed on a 4GB SD card I purchased from Farnell works perfectly. The latest Raspbian OS image doesn't work very well at all.

I'm using the latest Raspberry Pi model B - the "make in UK" model with the mounting holes.

Is this still an issue with the latest foundation image?

Hard to tell if this issue is a system wide issue. Or something more simple like the system is out of ram.

Can you post the output of "vmstat 1 60" when the issue is occurring?
