nvidia-current-updates 295.49-0ubuntu0.2: nvidia-current-updates kernel module failed to build

Installed Quantal LTS backport kernel from X-Swat PPA

During the install, the nvidia-current driver failed to build. After a reboot into the 3.5.0 kernel, I tried installing via Jockey, and that too failed to build. I also tried installing nvidia-current-updates and that also failed to build, triggering apport to fire off this bug.
